free PLay coaching
for caregivers

Do you ever feel unsure how to truly play with your child or grandchild?

You’re not alone. Many parents and caregivers share that playing doesn’t come naturally to them—and there are good reasons for that. Our own childhood experiences, intergenerational patterns, and today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world can make it hard to slow down, connect, and feel confident in play.

You might notice that:

  • You’re not sure how to play in a way that feels meaningful with your child

  • Play can feel awkward, tiring, or overwhelming

  • Screens and instant entertainment seem to compete for your child’s attention

  • Your own childhood experiences make it difficult to relax and be playful

The good news is—play is something that can be learned, nurtured, and enjoyed.

Chantal has created a supportive Therapeutic Play Course designed to gently guide parents and caregivers in reconnecting with play in a way that feels natural and authentic to you. With guidance and support, you’ll learn simple, powerful ways to engage in “special playtime” with your child.

This kind of intentional play helps to:

  • Strengthen your connection and attachment

  • Support your child’s emotional regulation

  • Build confidence, resilience, and self-expression

  • Create moments of joy and closeness in your relationship

You’ll also receive coaching and support as you begin to bring these skills into your everyday parenting.

If you’re interested in learning how to connect more deeply with your child through play, we would love to hear from you.

Heart for the community...

Chantal Piercy, Registered Counselling Therapist-Candidate, has a deep heart for non-profit community work and is passionate about making therapeutic services accessible to children and youth who may not otherwise receive support. Through her work, she offers free therapeutic play and expressive arts group therapy programs within schools and the broader community, creating safe, strengths-based spaces where children can build emotional regulation skills, process stress, and develop confidence through creativity and connection. Chantal is also deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of therapists and collaborates with student therapists from Maritime Play Therapy Centre, providing them with hands-on experience while expanding the reach of these meaningful groups. Organizations interested in partnering to bring free therapeutic play groups to their school or community setting are warmly invited to reach out at chantalpiercy@thruplay.ca.
